Fall Season INformation
Fall Season
Preseason - Last two week of August. We start the season with two week of intense training. (Typically teams meet 3-4 days a week for two weeks.) The goal is to get back working with ball and to get to know your team and coach.
In Season Practice - September-October. Team training will be twice a week on the appropriate sized grassfield in the Upper Valley. Typically training is in Norwich, Hanover or Lebanon. The focus of these trainings is on skill develop and team elements, such as positions, shape, team play, style of play, set pieces and game management.
Club Skills Day - Friday from September-October. Each Friday during the season the Club hosts a skills day where all of the coaches are present and all teams work through a skills development session focused on activities like dribbling, defending, 1 v 1, and shooting. Goalkeeper specific training is also offered during these sessions. These sessions give the kids a chance to interact with kids beyond their team and for all coaches to get to know all of the kids in the club.
Games - September-October. We in play in the NH Soccer League. Our league season will begin in early September and run through October. Teams will have approximately 8 games, with approximately half being home games. Our home game fields have not yet been determined.
Tournament - Columbus Day Weekend - Each team will play in one tournament. In the past, we have played in the Seacoast Tournament in So. NH and in the tournament hosted in the suburbs of Boston. We will make this determination by the end of August each year.
Additional Tournament - Teams are welcome to organize an additional tournament, such as late Fall tournament in Connecticut or New York. This tournament requires additional funding from the families as it is not included in the travel team fee.
